VILAMENDHOO THILA

Vilamendhoo Thila is a frequent sightings of reef sharks and rays. Its large, complex reef structure that begins in 8m of water and extends down to a sand bottom at 30m on the east side, and sloping at 45° down to 20-25m on the west side. It extends in the middle of the channel on the south side, and the north part presents some detached blocks. Manta rays and whale sharks are also seen in this area. Various other species can be observed here, including fusiliers, snappers, jacks, sweetlips, and others.
