The Mahibadhoo Rock, also known as Mahibadhoo Thila is a Manta rays cleaning station during the outgoing currents of the northeast monsoon. Between the months of May to November large congregations of mantas are often encountered here. Watch these majestic animals feed on the plankton rich waters in an outgoing current. The cleaning station is located at the channel entrance, where the slope joins an 8-10 meters-deep plateau. Rays can be observed on the reef and along the slope.
